Individuals can apply for housing at Step to Shelter Merseyside by visiting our facility and filling out an application. Our staff will then review the application and determine if the individual is eligible for housing support.


To be eligible for housing at Step to Shelter Merseyside, an individual must be experiencing homelessness and have no other safe housing options available.


 Once you’ve completed a self-referral into our services, we’ll work with you and your housing officer from your local council. We’ll help you access temporary accommodation while you look for a long-term placement, such as a flat or house. Once you’ve moved into your new home, your case will be closed.
